Job Description

I. Job Responsibilities
1. Independently or assist the Principal Investigator (PI) in project applications and implementation;
2. Supervise the research work of laboratory staff, including doctoral and master’s students;
3. Independently write experimental reports and grant proposals; participate in academic exchanges at domestic and international conferences.
4. Meet the hospital’s postdoctoral exit requirements within the specified timeframe.

II. Application Requirements
1. Under 35 years of age, with a PhD degree already obtained or expected to be obtained shortly;
2. Honest and kind-hearted, with a passion for science, good academic ethics, and teamwork spirit, and able to adapt to a fast-paced research environment;
3. Possess a solid research foundation (principally, at least one high-quality research paper published prior to joining the postdoctoral program);
4. Rigorous academic style and the ability to conduct independent research;
5. Excellent English communication and writing skills.

III. Term of Employment and Benefits
1. Salary and benefits are administered in accordance with the Postdoctoral Management Regulations of West China Hospital, Sichuan University.
2. The basic annual salary during the employment period includes base salary, position-based performance bonuses, various subsidies, social insurance, housing provident fund, and year-end performance bonuses. These expenses are uniformly managed by the hospital. During the employment period, postdoctoral fellows also receive research performance bonuses from the hospital.
3. Support for applying for national youth funds, provincial/ministerial-level funds, and national/university/hospital-level postdoctoral funds, as well as participation in high-level academic conferences both domestically and internationally.
4. Postdoctoral fellows who meet the criteria for retention (as detailed in the “Implementation Measures for the Construction of Full-time Postdoctoral Programs at Sichuan University West China Clinical Medical College/West China Hospital”) may apply for retention and senior professional titles in accordance with regulations.
