Job Description

I. Application Requirements:
Applicants must have a good academic reputation and influence in the field of materials science, be academic leaders in their respective fields, have achieved high-level teaching and research results, and meet other requirements specified for the position. Overseas applicants must hold the position of associate professor or above at a world-class university (research institution).

II. Outstanding Young Scientists Fund Project (Overseas)
The Outstanding Young Scientists Fund Project (Overseas) aims to attract and encourage outstanding young scholars (including non-Chinese foreign talents) who have achieved notable accomplishments in natural sciences and engineering technology to return to China (or come to China) for work, independently select research directions to conduct innovative research, promote the rapid growth of young scientific and technological talents, cultivate a group of outstanding academic backbone members with the potential to enter the forefront of global science and technology, and contribute to the construction of a science and technology powerhouse.
Selected candidates will be provided with high-standard working and living conditions by the university, including: permanent staff status and a senior professorship; an annual salary of 720,000 to 780,000 yuan (pre-tax, including social insurance and housing provident fund); housing subsidies and relocation allowances of 2 million yuan (including national and Tianjin municipal government subsidies), research funding of 2.5 million to 4.5 million yuan (including national government subsidies), with additional matching funds available from the college; excellent team configuration, comprehensive living and medical insurance, and Tianjin’s educational advantages; the college and university will provide full support for application submissions.

2. Application Requirements
Distinguished Researcher applicants should generally be no older than 38 years of age, in good physical and mental health, of high moral character and ability, with an upright academic style. They should have achieved high-level, landmark academic achievements in their relevant fields, with academic standards no lower than the average level of candidates selected for the national “Four Young Talents” program in their discipline. They should possess a solid research foundation and significant potential for development, be capable of forming and leading academic research teams, and play a positive role in guiding and promoting the development of their discipline. For those who have made outstanding contributions in engineering technology, product development, and technology transfer, the age limit may be appropriately relaxed.
3. Position Benefits
01 Permanent staff position, senior professional title, and eligibility to serve as a doctoral supervisor.
02 Pre-tax annual salary of 500,000–780,000 RMB, housing allowance and relocation allowance of 600,000–1,000,000 RMB (including college matching funds), and research startup funds of 1,000,000–2,000,000 RMB (including college matching funds).
