Job Description
I. Types of Postdoctoral Positions
The College recruits postdoctoral fellows in two categories: faculty postdoctoral fellows and project postdoctoral fellows. Among these, faculty postdoctoral fellows are further divided into Category A and Category B.
II. Eligibility Criteria for Admission
1. Faculty postdoctoral fellows are generally under 32 years of age. For exceptionally outstanding PhD holders, the age limit may be relaxed to under 35 years, provided they meet the relevant requirements for applying for national projects.
2. Project postdoctoral fellows must be under 35 years of age.
3. Postdoctoral researchers applying for admission should have obtained their doctoral degree within the past three years.
4. The admission category for faculty postdoctoral researchers is determined by the School’s Postdoctoral Management Office based on the applicant’s performance level; the performance requirements for project postdoctoral researchers are determined by the postdoctoral cooperative mentor.
III. Position Benefits
1. Compensation and Benefits:
01 Faculty Postdoctoral Researchers Category A: The school provides an annual salary of no less than 300,000 yuan (pre-tax, including housing provident fund, housing subsidy, etc.).
02 Faculty Postdoctoral Researchers Category B: The university provides an annual salary of no less than 220,000 yuan (pre-tax, including housing provident fund, housing subsidy, etc.).
Additionally, the university encourages postdoctoral research units and collaborating mentors to provide faculty postdoctoral researchers with additional living allowances based on actual circumstances.
03 Project Postdoctoral Researchers: The university provides salary and benefits equivalent to those of faculty members with intermediate professional titles.
2. Research Incentives: During their tenure, postdoctoral fellows are eligible for the same policies as regular staff members when applying for research projects, publishing papers, and submitting research achievements.
3. Research Conditions: The university provides postdoctoral fellows with excellent office and research facilities and allocates research funds according to the university’s talent recruitment research startup fund standards. The university actively supports postdoctoral fellows in applying for various national and Hubei Province postdoctoral talent programs and research projects.
4. Professional Title Application: In accordance with national regulations, postdoctoral researchers may apply for professional titles in the researcher series during their tenure.
5. Career Development:
01 Faculty postdoctoral researchers in Category A who complete their tenure within three years with a satisfactory or higher evaluation, and faculty postdoctoral researchers in Category B who complete their tenure within three years with a good or higher evaluation, may apply for appointment as tenured faculty members upon approval by the university, or may apply for recruitment under the university’s talent-related policies.
02 Doctoral graduates who meet the university’s postdoctoral faculty admission requirements may, upon their own application and after passing the college interview, sign relevant agreements with the college, which may then convert them into tenured faculty members upon completion of their postdoctoral program.
6. Support Services: During the postdoctoral program, the university provides apartment accommodations or housing subsidies.
