Job Description
Ⅰ. Position Title: Special Research Assistant (Postdoctoral Fellow), open quota, admission based on merit
Ⅱ. Research Directions
1. Veterinary vaccine development;
2. Tumor immunity;
3. Phage-bacterial immune system interactions; nucleic acid-protein interactions;
4. Artificial intelligence and vaccine and drug design;
5. Pathogenic microorganisms, immunology, bioinformatics, structural biology, and other related fields.
Ⅲ. Qualifications
1. Possess a PhD in veterinary medicine, biology, medicine, or AI-related fields. Candidates whose field of study is not listed in the selected reference list but is similar to the required field of study should contact the recruiting organization to confirm their eligibility.
2. Must be 35 years old or younger, have obtained a PhD (no more than three years after graduation) or be about to obtain one. Must work full-time at the institute upon joining.
3. Possess a solid foundation of professional knowledge and extensive experimental experience, have published research papers as first author in leading international journals in their field, and possess the ability to independently undertake research projects and conduct scientific research.
4. Possess strong writing and communication skills in both Chinese and English, be down-to-earth and conscientious, have a passion for scientific research, and possess a strong sense of responsibility and teamwork.
5. Be physically and mentally healthy, have a cheerful personality, have no bad habits, and be able to start work as soon as possible.
Ⅳ. Position Benefits
1. Salary and benefits will be in accordance with the Institute of Microbiology, Chinese Academy of Sciences and relevant national regulations, with an average annual salary of 250,000-360,000 RMB (including five social insurances and one housing fund) .
2. Research Support: Outstanding doctoral graduates or newly admitted researchers who meet the application requirements are encouraged to apply for the Postdoctoral Innovative Talent Support Program, the International Exchange Program Introduction Program, the Chinese Academy of Sciences Special Research Assistant Program, etc.
Postdoctoral fellows are encouraged to apply for various talent programs and research funding during their stay. Qualified candidates will be recommended to apply for the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and the Institute’s own research projects.
Outstanding postdoctoral fellows who have received funding from the Postdoctoral Science Foundation, the International Exchange Program Introduction Program, the Chinese Academy of Sciences Special Research Assistant Program, etc. during their stay will be given priority for application to the Chinese Academy of Sciences High-level Talent Introduction Program upon graduation and will be given priority for recruitment by the Institute of Microbiology, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Upon receiving funding, they will receive corresponding benefits. Those selected through the program selection process may apply for the positions of Young Research Group Leader or Research Group Leader.
3. Other: Postdoctoral fellows will be managed according to the second-level professional and technical position of Assistant Researcher during their stay. Those who meet the Institute’s application requirements for corresponding professional and technical positions in that year may apply for the corresponding professional and technical position. Outstanding postdoctoral fellows who leave the Institute will be given priority to remain at the Institute, offering competitive remuneration and career development opportunities. They will receive a public institution status, five social insurances and two housing funds, and receive social security, medical care, and supplementary medical benefits.
4. Living Security: Postdoctoral fellows will be eligible for the National Postdoctoral Administration Committee’s policies regarding household registration transfer for departing postdoctoral fellows and accompanying family members. In accordance with relevant national and CAS regulations, eligible postdoctoral fellows will be assisted in obtaining admission to schools within the Institute’s collective household registration area for their children.
